It is strange that the harder Pietersen tries to be loved the bigger the idiot he comes across as.
I rate him very highly as a cricketer... He does things I have never seen before and can only dream of replicating but he lets his ego get the better of him far too often and so I find it hard to like the man...
It's a very odd feeling, I want him to do well, I want him to make all the critics eat their words by scoring hundreds galore and I want him to help England win cricket matches. BUT I really dislike his manner and arrogance and just can't bring myself to cheer him on in the same way I do for all other England players.
Is that treacherous? Am I the only Englishman who feels this way?
