Not physically dangerous, just unpredictable ping and lift off a length from medium and slow bowling. Gloves, over the shoulder of the bat, leading edge back the bowler; that sort of thing.
I didn't face that many balls myself (batting down the order, not out both days) but in my experience it was worse on the Saturday, strip on the right of the table as you stand at the pavilion. Both wickets on the table offered it though and at both ends but I think the tennis court end was more pronounced.
