A bit of Sunday evening viewing for you... Of all the productions I have worked on over the last 15 years or so, this is right up there with the best. It's produced and directed by a chap who has won Emmys for his previous efforts - a proper old school film-maker who really knows how to tell a good story. This particular film is an object lesson in documentary making...
It tells the story of how The Beatles fuelled an underground movement beneath the Iron Curtain - which some believe did far more than Gorbachev ever managed to in bringing down Communism.
For those who don't have BBC4 it will be available on iPlayer for 30 days and is well worth an hour of your time...
