No it was not.
I heard the result as we were getting of a plane at Heathrow. I was pretty pleased until I heard about the beach ball. I was then praying until Match of the Day that it was not a Sunderland one as our lot are known to toss the the odd beach ball around in the crowd. We were then pretty relieved and amused that it was one of their own that did it.
The Sunderalnd Echo is running a campaign to give the kid the freedom of the city!
