Hey Ward. Here is what I know on the numbers... The first digit 2= Pontiac 2nd and 3rd digits is the series = 42 is a GTO yours is a 33 4th digit is the body type = 07 is a 2 door coupe post 6th digit is the model year = 7 = 1967 7th digit is the assembly plant = P = Pontiac MI the last 6 digits represent the production #. They would start at 100001 and go up? It could start with a 6 if your car did not come from the factory with a V8 in it. Otherwise it started with a 1 and went up. Hope this helps... Kev
