I got a rat from a pet shop pregnant the other week. She was fine, very sweet until she got to about 14 days before she had them. she turned really nasty. The babies are 2 weeks old know, and she is a bit better. You have to start trust training her again after the babies have gone. i.e. getting her to take food out your hand. You have to start as if you brought her yesterday and she does not know you.Females are however very friendly.
