My rat does that too and to a 10 Month old baby! But it's really not much to worry about. it's probobly because it's been HAND fed therefor it thinks anything that is put in the cage is FOOD! Try this: Every time your rat bites you tap it firmly on the Nose and stop Hand-feeding it (lettingthe rat take food out from your Fingers.) Rats DON'T like being tapped on the Nose! Try this. I've never tried it but I've heard of simalar ideas.
