if you mean bedding, then we use a sort of cut up type tissue stuff that you can buy from pet stores, it has shreads of tissue and the coloured kitchen cloths in it.
If you mean as a replacement to sawdust, depening on your area you can get numerous different types of alternative litter, i.e. hemp litter, some types of cat litter, depending on scents etc....
