on behalf of the nsa orginization and all the teams in indiana it is a sad day for all.
Over the past 10-11 years I have probably ran over100- 200 NSA softball tournaments. During those times there was my friend and former uic who was at every one of those tournaments working on the diamond. He umpired more games than anyone in the country from co-ed rec to the major level softball. He umpired over 60 some world tournaments and thousand of league games.
We lost a very good umpire today, and I lost a very good friend. He was a stalwart every weekend for NSA softball. Softball was an important factor of his life and the game will miss him as well as all of the players and the NSA organization.
It won’t be the same not having him around. I will deeply miss him as others will as well.
As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love raising to the heavens...
He truly is a "free bird" now.
Rip my friend; I will miss you very very much.
