the 2009 nsa indiana vs kentucky and other states all star game will be held october 24 at muncie sports plex.
this was set up to create an event where spectators can come watch some of the best softball around the midwest.remember this event is a negative revenue event at this time, the park is donated for the weekend, we all owe muncie and john anderson a "thank you" for letting us play this there.
it was also set up to reward players for their fine accomplishments in 2009 and be part of something special that is not done anywhere else in the country.
the coordinator for this event is jimmy thornton.some say that the winning coach should coach the team, that is a good idea, but the work for this is started way before the state championships are settled.
we know that not every player can make this team, even if we picked 50 players some would be left out.so, jimmy is the coordinator(and that wont change) and if he chooses to coach the upper, that is his decision.he will also pick the other coaches for the upper and lower division.the coaches will pick the teams.remember jimmy is not getting paid to do this.
this is also a reward for the umpires who work this tournament,and those will be probably be picked by myself or they will be picked by jack and tony.we may ask for an umpire from another state as well.
we have added some other states this year to help add to the tournament this year.
all other rules, teams,players, etc will be posted at a later date.
this may be something we take national next or the following year.
there will also be an open roster winter wolrd qualifier held that weekend in muncie as well.
