Many times a director or player has a vision for a new twist on the game of softball. Richard Foltz had the vision of the State All-Star game a few back and for 2 years it was IN vs KY. In 2009 IL and MI joined in and from the sounds of things, a good time was had by all.
At the convention Richard made a presentation on that program and it was very well received. So well in fact that the NSA Board of Directors will allow Richard's idea to go NATION WIDE!!!
In 2010 at the NSA National Convention, State All Star teams will come together for what many hope will be the first of many All-Star events. The location of the 2010 convention has not been announced, but when it is, the All-Star teams will know where the battle will begin.
Mike Hagy and I have already selected the coach for the Northern Indiana team and we will soon be selecting the team to allow the player ample time to make plans for the event.
Richard will be presenting the rules he used to the Board of Directors for review and once the rules have been extablished, they will be posted.
This will be a great event and fun will be the ultimate goal.
Thanks to Richard for having the vision and sharing his thoughts. All we need now is for Indiana to win the first tourney and reward Richard for his efforts.
