The only reason I have waited to post this is because the system does not allow roster adds yet. They should be unlocked at the end of this week hopefully.
You can still sanction your team online.
The rosters eligibility is basically the same as last year, and below are a few guidelines:
1. Any team moved up will be allowed 3 and only 3 drops.EX-Nasty Strong.
2. Any team that was close to being moved up only gets 1 drop, this should explain itself. For example, Red Eye in D/fat Pitches in E are examples of this.
3. The next tier of teams, may get 1-2-3 depending on their roster. If your team has already had a set of 2-3 drops from last year and possibly the year before, you probably will not get 3 drops. These teams will be voted on by the Indiana Classification Committee.
4. New teams may get 1-2-3 drops, if your combining 2 good teams, you may not get any..... All these teams will be voted on by the ICC.
1 & 2 above are pretty easy to classify, 3 & 4 will be voted on.
Any team moved up from last year, that is what class all the players are for this year.EX- Mighty Ducks players are D for this years classifications.
There is some player Appeal Possibilities, do not send in appeals just so you can slide another player to get under your drops.Only appeals that make SENSE will be accepted.
All drops must be approved-some players will not be allowed to drop, so keep this in mind.
John Smith played 1 tournament with Team Drinkin Drunks, they were a very good D team.John could not bat 400 in a Co-Ed Rec League game, Drinkin needed him for 1 tournament, he lived up to his ability, he batted 1-7 and had 3 errors and was scared to death on the mound.Safe to say, John could win an appeal.
Or, Pete Rogers, has not played for 5-10 years, his last class was C, he may win an appeal.
Your class is based on what division you show up on the system last.If you are under multiple names, we can figure that out, as there is a time stamp.
As soon as the rosters are unlocked, we can start to approve your roster. We just click the button online, it will send the Coach an email, the coach can also see it from his act.If you are not approved, we will contact you.
Once approved, we will lock your roster for the year, any add ons may change your classification.
We have some new areas we will be running at this year, The Central and South are almost completed.
Joel Kitner is the South director.
I am still working on spots for the North, we will be running in Ft. Wayne, West Lafayette and Logansport.
I am still looking for a North Director for Indiana USSSA/GSL, if anyone is interested, you can contact me.I have a few names already as possibles, you can still throw your name in there.I am looking for some in the Region area if all possible.
Good luck to all teams this year.
