Re: Curl routine?

This might sound a little odd, but for me, the curl is less about biceps, and more about other larger muscle groups. (traps, front delts ect.) Of course I do train biceps pretty hard one day a week, but I usually never go below 10 reps when I am doing an isolated bicep movement. Again, probably odd, but I usually don't train heavy with a curl bar. I use an inside grip which I feel gives me better leverage. The down side is that is torques the crap out of my elbows. If I trained heavy like that, my elbows would stay torn up. As a meet gets closer I do some lighter training on the curl bar just to work on the movement, form and kind of bring it all together. I think is is easy for me to over train my biceps. I could not withstand the same kind of cycle for bicep training as I can with bench press.
All that said, You kind of have to find the right amount of training for you. After doing this for so long I have learned that your body changes. I think the way you train has to change with it.
