Posted by Perry stalsis Draft Guinness is different but other beers should go to the top (or to the pint mark). Pisses you off and you don't go back so it's a short-term strategy. Happened last weekend too near Handcross in Sussex. Girl chatting about Big Brother (NOT Orwell) with other barmaid hads me pint of Harveys (hardly any head to speak of) with just a big gap at the top. When you ask them to top it up, they look at you as if you've just described them as fat and ugly. Seems to be a girl thing - or am I wrong? A very pissed-off Perry

I am getting heartily pissed of at being handed pints in pubs that finish half an inch or more below the top of the glass. I had one yesterday at the Schooner in oppsite Shorham power station (bit nicer location than it sounds) which was handed to me by a girl who hadn't a clue. I'm paying several pounds for a glass of beer so half an inch means something. A friend ued to say: 'Can you put a scotch in there for me?' When they said 'Yes' he'd say: 'Well fill it up with beer then.
