My Off Topic News is that, after major surgery in early January I'm almost at the end of the convalescent period - yippee ! Still can't eat large quantities, but that's no bad thing, can't fly or go to gym till April and have to rest a lot, blah, blah, but I'm out in the world again. And ze verld she is a beautiful place after horizontal weeks, let me tellya. I'm not going to give details, but the op. was a success and the doctor said I will play the violin again, which is good, because... I couldn't play it before. Boom Boom. Our 18 year old granddaughter left yesterday after a week with us while she did work experience in London - we watched her confidence rapidly develop as she began see the point of London, learned to use Time Out and her Oystercard. Despite being a vegetarian, she bought a vintage fur jacket - but what's a teenager without contradictions, eh ? She is a complete joy to have around, and we miss her. Beloved still brings me breakfast in bed, although I don't really need it any more. Some time soon I'm going to have to tell him not to bother, but my lips cannot quite form the words yet... So, what's your Off Topic News, then ?
