So you laughed, Perry, you rotter ! Don't blame you, but although the headaches have stopped now, head still bruised and may still visit doc. Nearly two weeks since it happened, and although they have my address and phone number, they have not even phoned to enquire how I am ! Linda (who booked this place) rang the Mandy the Manager as there were many other complaints: stone cold chips; mains arriving before starters finished and just plonked down; salmon en croute was all croute and v. little salmon; horrible food; very high prices, etc. And flying chandeliers.
So Linda delivers this list of complaints and awaits Mandy's response.
"I couldn't agree with you more. Please would you put this all in writing and I will forward it to Head Office"
The thing is, a manager is meant to handle this kind of thing herself. Surely she has to take responsibility for cold food and poor service, even if she has no control over prices or ancient straw garlands. Surely it is her job to ensure light fittings are secure.
Linda went to New Zealand the next day, so she asked me to write. I'll post a copy of my letter here, and any reply I get.
