Finding a nice place to eat in this part of Kent is difficult. The choice is a smokey pub with wine that you wouldn't even put in a casserole or a soul-less corporate hotel with food tasting of cardboard. How splendid to find this refreshing Brasserie. A window seat in the conservatory overlooking the landscape is a delight or if the weather is hot sitting out under the umbrella in the garden, the view of the industrial section masked by the stratigically placed balustrade. The menu, whilst not overly adventurous, was exciting. The atmosphere pleasant and casual. Apparently for a window seat on a Saturday, booking a month in advance, is not unusual. However, lunch times are not a problem. Luckily, probably by public demand, they have now segregated the smoking area. Expect two courses with wine to stand you perhaps £40 a head but well worth it.
