hi rodsue - read your post below on size of mastiffs. you can have a better mastiff - smaller in size - bigger is not always better. exp: would be the top showdog out now sherman, he has broke all the bis records, he's not a big dog, maybe 29 or 30 inches, but bred very well to do what a mastiff should. i think we should all be breeding mastiffs smaller like him - like a large bull mastiff, not 33 or 34 200lb and up why have such a big dog? Look how sherman is winning in the showring, the judges agree- they are telling us what they like and what the standard says we should be breeding smaller more athletic mastiffs.
