Sorry but tall does not mean massive. A 34" tall dog would have to be extremely wide and thick to fit my picture of a mastiff. Mass must come from body, height from depth of body not length of leg. I see too many Dane looking mastiffs in the ring today that may be tall but have no mass. I'm not saying a mastiff should be a bully size but a good dog with a height between 30 and 32 inches, with large bone, and height coming from depth of body, with a huge head and front is more my style. I'm tired of seeing those tall, all legged mastiffs in the ring.
