I have also seen 32-34" tall Mastiffs that DO have the bredth and depth and I firmly believe that that is what we should be striving for rather than "settling" for a shorter one that has the depth --for one Puff --who is 4 yrs old today --has both. No one would say she is not wide and deep with extraordinary bone, but she is also tall--probably about 32 inches and 220 pounds. (honest measurements and weight)
