I read about this on the other board, and I feel bad about the situation. What I can tell you that from a behavior stand point, the dog was defending her territory, which these guys will do. But what I will also tell you that it is never acceptable for a dog to bite anyone period. I know that these happen so fast that it is hard for anyone to react in time to prevent a problem, but you are always held responsible for the actions of your dog, regardless of the circumstances of the bite. The person bitten will probably sue you, if not now then sometime later after his friends and family have convinced him to do so. Good luck to you.
