I also agree with most you had to say. But I do believe mastiffs as well as most other breeds will attempt to guard what they believe to be theirs from strangers who invade that territory, without being trained to do so. I think we as humans need to understand that and not attempt to put that to the test with dogs that don't know them. I'm always amazed by those who think they can do that. I missed this subject on another board, but would suggest you not loose to much sleep about someone getting heated about it. Seems to be the nature of the beast sometimes when folks have different opinions on a subject. I think in the end, heated or not, most folks are only trying to protect their breed in their on way and many times get taken the wrong way on the internet by both parties involved (very common indeed).
