Thank you all Vickie, Tracy, Tami and Nancy for the kind words and thoughts.
We were with Harley today when he started his trip across the bridge with his head planted firmly in Sue's lap. The thought accured to me to call the vet and prolong this for a bit, but he went with his dignity and wit today. And that's what we really wanted for him.
He got to visit with everyone earlier today and was very happy while doing so. He ate a great meal and had his favorite (ice water) after.
He will be terribly missed, but never forgotten, that is our pledge to him.
