OT/help?
Hello all, I need help if at all possible.
My Saint who will be 6 in May started having seizures in October. I contacted the breeder, no reply (shocking huh?). My vet put her on Phenobarb 1 1/2 gr 3 1/2 tabs twice daily. seizures continued. I went to the internal med doctor that I work for, he reduced the phenobarb to 2 1/2 tabs and started her on a loading dose of Potassium bromide. I did the loading dose and she is now on 4.2 ML Potassium bromide and 2 tabs of phenobarb ( 1 1/2 gr) She is still drunk, but worse yet, whenever she drinks from the water bowl...it is FULL of blood. Her mouth has open ulcers. There is NO way these ulcers caused this kind of blood!
Oh and by the way, she does cough when drinking before the blood shows up.
