Posted by Ed on December 17, 2005, 9:49 am, in reply to "Happy Thanksgiving" Happy Holidays is ok too. Seems Fox Santa is angry about all the attacks so many are on using the expression "Merry Christmas" In 1969 I was in 6th. grade; my teacheer was Mrs. Baucom. I would feel sorry for anyone who protested using Merry Christmas. Baucom was well known in our little town of Licking Mo. If you was bad she would twist your nose with her two index fingers, pull hair, shake back and forth and slap your cheeks before a minute passed. I was spared the wrath of the Baucom workover. I did get paddeled a couple of times for gettig out of line. The 1970 yearbook was dedicated to her. The poem that followed was fitting about and said something about experiencing the end of her hand. Tracy and Sugar Sugar were being played on many AM. radio stations at night. I am sure Mrs. Baucom enjoyed it just as much as we did. Most of the time I heard the songs at the store across from the school. That is the winter it snowed so much. We missed allot of school and I learned to slide nearly 1/2 block on the slick roads only with slick bottomed dress shoes. Tennis shoes and boots would throw you Yes I am thankful for America the greatest Nation on Earth. I am also thankful for someone like Ron who is not afraid to express his faith in God and Angels in the song. Keep up the fantastic work Ron you are most appreciated for your performances. --Previous Message--
