Posted by SSB I have a lot of Archies' singles -- even some of the cereal box ones! -- that I have put onto CD to listen to, just for the fun of it. I also have good copies of all the LPs and have those on CD. I have pretty much all the compliations as well -- some sound good, some not so good. Oh! I have all the Manilow stuff too. I even still have the very first Archies record I bought -- the 45 of Who's Your Baby? I rode my bike 5 miles to the store to buy it, and got in trouble when I got home (for riding that far through heavy traffic)! My mom wouldn't let me listen to the record for a week. But, believe me, it's been played once or twice since. Steve in Detroit --Previous Message--

I don't have his '79 or '81 solo releases, but I do have "Brings You Up" that I bought as an import from Japan. Doesn't sound a whole lot better than my LP, though. ![]()

: Hi RD fans,
: When you listen to Ron's music, which
: recordings do you reach for first? Is
: it his Archies stuff that rings your
: bell, or do you like the Detergents, or
: the Cuff Links, or perhaps Ron's solo
: recordings? Which solo recordings do
: you put in the player, those from the
: 60's/70's, or his later ones from 1979
: (Dante's Inferno) and 1981 (Street
: Angel)? Or do you mostly listen to his
: Favorites CD?
: Me, I tend towards his solo stuff right
: at the moment, mostly "Brings You
: Up" and other, more obscure
: recordings from the 60's and early 70's
: that I have (thanks, eBay!). A friend
: of mine was kind enough to put these on
: CD for me so that I can bring them to
: the office and listen there. Once in
: awhile, though, I get in the mood for
: some Archies music, and when I do I
: usually put in one of the compilation
: CDs I own, like "Absolutely the
: Best."
: Which RD recordings do the rest of you
: listen to for the most part?
: Thanks,
: Laura
