Owner William (bill) Liebowitz passed away on Oct 27, 2004. Bill was the owner of Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles, Calif. Bill maybe remembered by several appearances in Archie Comics, and also for attending and help sponsor the 60th annv. of Archie Comics in Los Angeles, of which Ron Dante attended one of the functions.
Bill had a great love for comics and enjoyed sharing comics with new generations. All I can say is having been a customer of that store for years its a very sad day for Southern California comic collectors. The Los Angeles Times bookfestival and San Diego Comic Con will never be the same again.
Sorry if anyone is upset at this post but I just thought I would share the news for the southern california fans.
