When you are hard of hearing like me, you don't care if the songs are in stereo or not. The latest box set by Capitol Records of the the first four beatles american lp releases, which Beatles 65 is in the top 5 with the first Archies LP, have songs in both mono and stereo and I really can't tell the difference except that the songs are great!! Go figure that one out!
: Probably a lot of singles were released
: in mono (or mono/stereo) because in
: those days most people were still
: listening to AM radio, which broadcast
: in mono. We sure have come a long way
: since then!!!

: For some reason a lot of 45's were
: released in mono. Radio station
: promotional singles usually had a
: stereo and a mono side of the same
: song.

: Hi Ron, I'm a big fan... Were all of
: The
: Archies recordings (including the
: unreleased songs from the TV series)
: recorded in Stereo, as were the album
: releases? Thanks
:
: I think everything was recorded and
: mixed in stereo although some releases
: were mono.
