I was born in 1947 in a tied cottage on Thomas Royden's Hampshire estate (Brockwood Park, near Bramdean). My father was employed as Chauffeur to Lord Royden until 1951. My father spent about 3 months of the year in Scotland at Lord Royden's estate at Tillipronie in the Highlands, for the grouse shooting season.
I have in my possession a copy of " The Sportsman's Year Book 1899" with the name "T Royden" pencilled on the flyleaf. Is anyone interested in purchasing the book as part of the Royden family history?
