You've summed it all up, so much about Dave.. His appearance on the top of the wall was a truly climatic moment, a trip in history that we'll remember 20 years from now. I still have to pinch myself to believe that actually happened.
Just one general thought on the show from me: I've to come to the conclusion I prefer the old Wall concept to the new, politically expanded one and wish Roger stuck to it more (despite the possible risk of looking dated). Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the show tremendously and have never seen anything so technically perfect in every sense (sound, production, musicianship, showmanship), it's just that the message of the show is not quite clear, the story of Pink's mental breakdown mixing oddly with the global political themes.
Having said that it also occured to me I won't be able to see another concert at the O2 ("the taxpayers tent") without thinking of Roger and the Wall - he's just appropriated that space and made it entirely his own

: "To be honest Dave K does an amazing job
: on this tour and definately also on
: Comfortably Numb. I love it when he does
: that solo. It's a power solo he delivers.
: But there really only is one David Gilmour.
: I'm not putting Dave K down in any way, but
: I'd swap him any time for Gilmour. Hats off
: to both!!!!!!!"
