Hi Michelle,
Good for you for attempting lots of turns. There are no magic solutions to the dizzies except to practice turns every day, so your ears become accustomed to spins. Spin in one direction as many times as you can comfortably, and when the dizzies set in, spin in the opposite direction, and little by little you will master spins. Don't try to spin at full speed at first; go slowly, maintaining your posture to remain centered. Meanwhile, relax the muscles in your face, breathe deeply and completely, so it feels like a yogic meditation. Don't worry too much about spotting, but in the early stages, keep your head level, as if you're balancing a sword or a tray of candles on your head. Once you're comfortable with a large number of spins on the level, slowly combine them with the head rolls and build up tolerance.
Another thing to consider, especially during the winter months, is the effect that sinus congestion has on your balance. Before I practice spinning, and I've got a cold, I try out my balancing sword. If the sword is wobbling because of the micromovements I'm making because my ears are not at their best, I take my decongestant, and wait 15 for them to take effect before spinning, and keep myself from getting nauseous.
