Tassels are easy to make. Basically, take some yarn and wrap it 50 to 100 times long-wise around a piece of wood or cardboard the size of a large deck of cards or paperback book. Slide the loops off the card, then run a long piece of yarn through the middle, then take another piece of yarn and tie off the "head", then cut the loops. Takes about 1/2 hour each. Experiment with more or fewer wraps and/or varying sizes of tassel pattern to get tassels of the size and length. You can use multiple colors of yarn as long as you make sure the loose ends are all in the same place i.e. on the side where you plan to cut the loops. Good luck!
