I'll measure up tonighty and post the dimensions.The differance from memeory is about 1/2 inch on each side or an inch in total. the forks sit comfortably on the spindle while not clamped. there is a groove of sorts which accomodates the inner curve of the fork but when clamped the inner section of the spindle doesn't want to play ball. the fork wont sit comfortably on it. as i say puzzling.
