I certainly would not have been able to do it that way on my own T140.
As the centre was a tight fit on the hub splines (as I believe it should be?) I was only able to separate them using a draw bolt and spacers once the clutch assembly had been removed, and then had to repeat the process the opposite way to reassemble it before refitting.
