Thanks for the info guys,
I ended up using the Rudi method with a drift
& American spanner, with some sculpturing with
the angle grinder & file I made a tool that
knocked the little sucker out, what I didn't
realise when it came out was that it had a
spacer ring on top of it that came out too,
I thought this ring was part of the head stem
& was trying to hit the bearing cup only.
Once I worked this out, the top one was a snap,
I've just got to get some high temp grease &
I think I'll notice a big difference in handling,
my bike hadn't many miles on it when I got it,
but I think those bearings had been knackered
for a while.
