Ok bear with me....I have owned this bike for 25 yrs ran pretty strong. I'm in the mist of doing my own rebuild (cleaning sludge trap!!)
I took careful notes upon dissaembly..Heres my question.
Should the intake cam/intermediate timing marks be dot to dot OR dot to dash? Originally it was dot to dot. That is how I found it to be when I removed cover, but one book says early models are dot to dash..
Mine is a 73 serial # starts with AH xxxxxx.
IS THAT considered and early model???
Like I said it ran good before...it would be one tooth diference if I went dot to dash on the marks..
Help confirm which setting is correct. Thanks
