Finishing up a full T140v rebuild here ....
Question, as for shaft seals...Are they installed dry or is it nessessary to put a tad of sealant (or oil) around the OUTER surface?
I know about oiling the innner diameter upon installation..
And as for the primary,timimng and outer shifting cover. Which is the bestway to install gaskets? Light coating of grease on both sides of gasket or should I use any sealant?
I do like Loctite 518 which is a red gel. NO leaks, But I know it acts as a glue, is it nessessary? Would greasing the gaskets be as effective?
