Les---I am not sure who did the detailed design work but the concept was originated by a friend of mine named James Love in about 1974 when we were both working at Coventry Radiator and were both involved with the embryonic cooperative.
Later the concept was picked up by Meriden and developed into the AV model---but I dont know by who.
In a recent issue of CBG the AV model is featured and my friends name is mentioned but only the surname I think as they did not know the details.
An interesting concept but somewhat flawed I think by the theory only being good for particular engine speeds and their harmonics and also if I remember correctly some difficulty in getting the engine mounts at the correct position for the AV effect---this being complicated by the practicalities of the bike.
HTH.
