Hi all, bought a set of TT pipes from Shropshire classics, and unfortunately I'm having a right old job trying to fit them. Spoke to Paul, who was of course quite happy for me to return the pipes, but I suggested trying to modify them myself first to see if I could make them fit.
The pipes had flared out a bit on the ends which was stopping them from pushing into the head, and the pipe diameter is also a little oversize too. With a bit of filing I have now removed the 'flare' & got the pipes to the stage that I will be able to cut a couple of slots in the pipes so that they have a little 'give' to push into the exhaust ports.
Next problem I have is that although I have removed the centrestand, the pipes look like they are going to foul the centrestand brackets on the frame.
Anybody else fitted TT pipes to a T140E? Did you manage it ok? Don't want to grind the brackets off only to find that the pipes still dont fit because they foul something else?
Any advice anyone?
Cheers
Wayne
