i use a yuasa fire alarm lead acid sealed battery.used them for ten years now with no problems on a 71 t120r.number is,np7-12 or it might be 597 835.they are both the same.i get mine after they have been in the fire alarm for 4 years.good for another 6 years on my bike.spade terminals fitted.this size fits in with no clearance problems and is available at any electrical distributor.
as long as your zener and rectifier are good,there is no topping up or breather.if you live near devon england,i have loads and you can have one free
