Many thanks Brian. I have taken the switch box cover off and had a look, and the only problem I could see was the Blue/Brown wires were a loose fit on the spade of the switch. Have tightened it up and............no more blown fuse! I put a new loom on in the winter and got rid of all the nicked wires, endless odd connections etc etc, so in theory all the connections should now be good. Kept all the old components though as there did'nt seem to be a problem with any of them.
