The only part of the assembly that would come anywhere close to touching the swinging arm would be the top of the large nut that secures the plastic reservoir inlet pipe fitting to the master cylinder?
And I'd say there ought to be around a 3/8" gap between them, with the shocks fully extended?
Are the shocks longer than the standard 12.3", (or 314mm) length (between the centres of the mounting eyes)? As that would be one reason for a reduction of the clearance between the nut and the swinging arm?
