Thanks bill, L.A.B., gruff & brian.....I'm hankering after a new light internal anyway I think. The mudguard is quite securely mounted and not prone to too many vibes of its own, so I don't think it's that. But I'm gonna check it all anyway - the joys of trumpeting around the back rqads of North Lincolnshire are currently outweighing 'tinker time' though - I'm sure you know aht I mean!
