If you offer the assembly up to the frame, then you should find that the spacers can only go one way (thin spacer at the right and thick on the left) which is NOT how they are drawn in the parts book diagram, and the spindle is normally shown drawn the wrong way around in the exploded diagrams, as it should fit from the left with its nut on the right!
