Carbon cans for Bonnies

Hi All, With ref. the above I e-mailed Predator Motors to ask them about fitting carbon silencers to Meriden Bonnies. They replied saying they would not fit them as "the pulse would pull them apart after a while". Can anyone explain this please? Regards Bun
