What symptoms of rich running do you have? Sooty plugs, black smoke when you open the throttle from tickover, rough running at part throttle or full throttle (or a feeling that the bike won't hold a steady speed at a constant throttle opening)? In other words is it something you notice at all throttle openings or just in part of the range? Remember Brian's comment on changing to the pancake/KN filters - that may have richened everything up by eliminating the standard airbox leaks. Set the idle mixture by finding the position that gives you the fastest idle on each side and then turn back in about 1/8 turn so that she'll respond to blipping the throttle. If it's a mid range problem, try dropping the needles to weaken 1/4 to 3/4 throttle and if your plug chop (new plugs, 1/2 mile approx. at full throttle on motorway and then coast to a halt and look at the plugs) shows a rich mixture, i.e. sooty plugs, you could go down a size with your main jet. If at full throttle the bike seems to speed up as you slightly close the throttle, your main jet is too small and you are running weak at the top end. HTH.
