<<glad i ask before trying to fit them the other way..>> The position of the swinging arm is set by the central pivot tube on the frame, so you wouldn't actually have been able to fit the swinging arm the spacers at the wrong ends. Oh...and of course the swinging arm spindle is also drawn the wrong way around too!
