Rocker box.

Hello. I am about to replace my cracked T140 v (1976)rocker box with a very good used box,this rocker box is from a more modern bonneville and has a breather coming out of the top of it. Should I blank it off,fit a bit of pipe to it or what ? Readers advise very welcome. Thank you Harry
