As part of the Winter tinkering time, I have stripped the front forks of my 1980 T140, and intend fitting progressive springs and the les williams damper valve fibre washer mod. Doesn't look like the forks have been stripped before, certainly not in my 16 years of ownership.
Getting confused about fork oil. Have always used bog standard Halfords ATF when changing the oil before, but with the mods fitted, will that suffice? All this stuff about 5,10,15 etc Viscosity grades is beyond me!
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Roo
