Primary belt drives

There seems to be quite a difference between retailers (I say retailers as I do not know where these items are manufacturted)prices...almost 25%....I know that you get what you pay for,but what are the differences in quality that warrant the price differentail?.Any tales of woe or bitter experiences when converting to a belt drive?
